Elder Ryan Wiemer leaves for his mission to Washington D.C., Spanish speaking

Over the weekend, we had a chance to go to Gilbert and see my brothers "un-farewell". I call it that because now instead of devoting a whole Sacrament meeting to the missionary and his family, they just have the future missionary speak and the rest of the meeting is the same. Probably a good idea. My mom said that she made sure when they called her about the bulletin, that they would spell his last name right, and not list him as "Youth Speaker".. So as we sat in our pew and opened up the bulliten it said "Youth Speaker-- Ryan Weimer". He! He!

My brother spoke about ways that we can prepare for a mission and it was a WONDERFUL talk. Some people were commenting that they had never heard him speak so much as two words and then, this!--- a wonderful, eliquent speaker stands at the podium. It was a Latterday Miracle!!! He!!! He!! We all knew he had it in him, hiding under his "cool exterior".

Tomorrow my parents will drop him off in Provo at the MTC where he will study Spanish for two months or so and then off to Washington DC to spread La Gospel. We are soooooooooooo proud of him!!!!!

Boys will be Boys!!!!

O.K. this picture pretty much says it all..... Lund took his sister's My Little Pony and took it's head off and then if that wasn't bad enough, he positioned it and took a picture. Sometimes older brothers can be such a bother. But, I have to admit, he is getting better with the camera!

A Little About Me....

I got tagged and thought that I would actually sit down and think for a minute, so here goes...

1: What was I doing 10-years-ago? (this is a picture of me 10-years-ago)

Yikes, let me think... I was 19-years-old and I had been married for 6-months. I was barely pregnant with Cassidy but probably didn't know it yet. We were living at Heather and Kimo's for a little bit until we moved into an apartment since we just moved to Gilbert, ARizona from Rexburg, Idaho. I was working for the City of Mesa Parks and Recreation Department and Morgan rode his mountain bike like a maniac everywhere out by Heather and Kimo's house. I was scarred he was going to kill himself or something. He still has a few scars from that summer. Morgan was probably in between jobs like he was for the first year of our marriage because he was also attending ASU. It was a fun time, but I think I like time just where I am at now....

2: What are five (non-working) things on my to do list today?

Well, let's see...I am going to do this in retrospect because is is 12:30 at night...

1. take the kids to library time. (this is where I learned that Will was not born with a "library voice")

2. take the kids to Tot Time at the pool (this is where I learn that Will only wants to go down the slide over and over and over. And over)

3. take the kids to Children's tea bo and Kids in Motion (this is where I learn division: 4 Lunchables doesn't divide evenly with 6 people.)

4. Take yummy watermellon (18 cents a pound, can't beat that), over to handsome husband and Stake President at the church after a long night of interviews.

5. At 8:30pm I ran around fliers to some ladies in the ward for our Enrichment night tomorrow night. (this is where I relax because I listen to a book on CD as I drive around, and I try to have quiet feet as I stick fliers on doors so no one will see that I am delivering them late at night).

3. Five snacks I enjoy...

1. anything chocolate

2. Honey Nut Cheerios

3. More chocolate

4. watermellon is nice

5. wow, I really like chocolate

4. Things I would do if I were a billionare...

1. go on a much needed family vacation-- maybe a Disney cruise or something

2. visit church sites in an RV (completely paid off...)

3. buy all my cub scouts a full uniform including two pairs of socks and matching hats to boot (that would pretty much take up all my money...)

4. pay someone to come and follow me around karate chopping my stomach and thighs while I go about my day, and maybe this will be a new weight loss program.

5. Go see Mother-in-law and father-in-law on mission in North Dakota and get to the bottom of all the "big stuff" out there. (You have to understand, they have "big things" everywhere, Big chairs, big signs, big everything... very pecular}

6. Send the Primary President and the Relief Society president on a much needed holiday, somewhere far away with no phones. I would send the Bishop away too, but I kind of like keeping him around...

5. Places I have lived:

somewhere in Iowa, Mesa, Arizona, Gilbert, Arizona Rexburg, Idaho Pocatello, Idaho Boise, Idaho Flagstaff, Arizona Bagdad, Arizona and Heaven

6. Jobs I have had:

Housecleaner (age 12), babysitter, pizza maker, pizza delivery person until my mom found out-- good money in that, but pretty dangerous for a girl. Accountant-type person at First Interstate Bank, Chase Bank employee, JC Penny photographer, Junior High Track Coach, Junior High Softball Coach, Elementary Coach, Plastic Surgery Associates, DayCare worker, Site Supervisor at all the After School Sports programs in Mesa, Arizona, Gymnastics Coach, and a Mom

7. Job I like best:

Mom! But a mom is really all these jobs rolled into one and you get paid in sticky kisses and poopy diapers. Love it all!!!

Now you know too much about me.... I will have to kill you now!

More pictures from the Fishing Clinic

Here are a few more moments from our fishing excursion. Cassidy was very angry with me at the end of the trip because I told her and Sarah and Will that since they decided to swim in the lake, they would have to ride home in thier underwear. I said that it was a consequence of her decision and she was really thankful for the tinted windows on the Pilot!!!!

Fishing Clinic

The kids and I and some friends in the ward went out to Coors Lake, which is just up the road from where we live, and went fishing on Friday. The Game and Fish guy was there to teach us some stuff and help the kids, it was really fun and he came in handy when we needed to re-string poles, cut worms in half, and get fishing lines untangled. Maybe we should bring him everytime just so us moms can have enough hands!! It was really fun! Will's favorite part was swimming in the water and Sarah loved being there with the worms, and Lund caught the most fish and loved it!

I am also including a picture of Cassidy and Sarah and the Fish and Game guy. Cassidy is a bit of a Drama Queen and wasn't happy in this picture because she hadn't caught any fish yet. Right after this picture was taken, Sarah handed her pole over to the Fish and Game guy and said "You do it, you can catch a fish for me" and then she headed off to have some fun elsewhere. Poor guy, 5-year-olds are harder to deal with than any Game or Fish out there!!! They are the true Wildlife!!!

My Handsome Men!!

Here are a few pictures of the most handsome, wonderful men and men-in-training in the world!!! I love my boys!!! Look how clean they are!!! This was right before church this morning!!!

What was I thinking!!!!?????

Alright, this was a really not-smart decision on my part.... They had a softball tournament here in Bagdad this week and I said that I would play on a team and it was an all-night tournament. It truly was all night long! Our first game was at 7pm and I left the field the next morning at 8am!! And I think I was probably the ONLY sober person there!!! It was insane!! Drinking and playing softball just don't mix for some people and I am not going to do it again next year because the enviroment wasn't the best!!

Morgan and the kids came and cheered me on in my first game at 7pm and that was fun, they were good cheerleaders. Then Morgan took them home and they went to bed (luckily)-- It got wild and crazy after that!

As you can see in the pictures, it looks like I was run over by a bus!!!! Actually, the truth is, I played 1st base and was run over by some people, but I slid a lot too!!!

I just have to remind myself that I am 29, not 15 because I am walking today like I rode a horse for a year or something....
