Some moments from Baseball Season '08

Well, baseball season is finally over and it was a lot of fun for the kids. We did decide that Cassidy is not going to play next year because she thought the games were such a bore and don't even get me started on the practices. I helped coach their team this year and it was a lot of fun. We were the Orioles or as we liked to say "The Oreos". It just had a nice ring to it!

Cassidy's favorite thing was do dance and jump around and just plain be in her own world out in the field. She told me that she wanted to play this year so that she could "get a costume!" And she would much rather be sitting on the bench because that was more fun.

Lund pitched for the first time this year and that was a new experience for him. He was really good, and we will have to practice for next year because I think that he really has a knack for pitching.

All in all, we had fun. (though we were really happy to see the season end). We are much more excited to spend our evenings at home as a family or out in the desert or at the pool.

Vampire in Training!

We will call this entry "Vampire in Training" because Will looks like he was a vampire that didn't quite do a good job cleaning up. He is a very messy little boy and you can see why we had to eat our popsicles outside!!! We are excited for summertime adventures outside like this slip and slide action.

Belated Sarah's Party Expose

I am writting a belated birthday expose on last week's party for Sarah here at our house. She wanted to have a party with her friends and their families here at the house. So we had a birthday/BBQ up here at the new house.

One of the highlights was the awesomely huge water slide we made. It was just like the ones we used to make when we lived in Pocatello. (Minus poor Ruth splitting her knee open). You just go to the Home Depot and buy a thick carpenters plastic and you can reuse it all summer if you like. We will be using ours again this Thursday for the Annual Hillside BBQ at the park to celebrate the end of the school year. We are excited for that as well.

Here are a few things Sarah liked about her birthday this year.... She got a kitty from Mom and Dad that is adorable. It is another Calico cat just like Rainbow was and is actually from the same Mom that Rainbow had. Just to catch you up, our faithful, wonderful cat left us when we went to my Grandmother's funeral in Utah a month or so ago. We were saddened, but we are happy to now have replaced her with "Belle" who is a fun loving, people loving kitty, perfect for an animal crazed five-year-old. We were kind of nervous that she would "love her kitty to death" within the first 48 hours just like Lenny from "Of Mice and Men". But we were happily surprized when she survived the first couple of days. She seems to be very well ajusted now and even sleeps right next to Sarah on her pillow!

Some other fun presents: I made Sarah a couple of really cute tutu's that are fun for dress up. She also got a few My Little Pony type things, a game, a neat towel set for swimming and a great kitty camping chair. Oh, and some cowboy boots, I can't forget those. Also, my parents got her a cute little stuffed doggy that comes with a website that you go to and you get to keep up with your little pet and basically have a virtual pet as well. That is really neat for her and she spends many hours on the Webkins website.

Well, I will let the pictures tell the rest of the stories....

Mother's Day Extrodinaire!!

I just wanted to report that I had the most wonderful Mother's Day Ever!!! It was full of cute, touching moments and happy, silly moments and many moments in between. Some highlights came in the form of breakfast in bed-pancakes made by Cassidy, Lund was guardian of the door to make sure mom didn't wake up too early, and even Will pitched in. The kids all came into say "Happy Mother's Day" and they handed me my wonderful blueberry and cool whip pancakes and as they came in Will had a sucker in his mouth (that must have been his breakfast because Mom was still in bed). Anyhow, after everyone told me Happy Mother's day and handed me my stuff, he looked around and then popped the sucker out of his mouth and gave it to me. A touching moment only a mother could appreciate. It brought tears to my eyes!!! So cute!!! And then the Primary sang to all the mother's during Sacrament meeting. The moment that I will always remember is that of Lund as they were singing Mother, I love you I Love you, I do... And then they had to point to their mother's out in the audience and I was on the front row with Bishop next to me and Lund made a really dramatic pointing to me right in the front row. It was so cute and got a few chuckles from the crowd. Good times!!

I also loved the wonderful dinner made by Morgan, my favorite boneless Honey BBQ chicken from scratch and then we followed with a really healthy (haa Haa) Chocolate cheesecake to die for!!!! It was Wonderful with a Capital W!

All in all I had an amazing day. I also had a chance to wear the pearls my dad just got me from his business trip to China and they were so Beautiful. Thanks Dad!!!

It's been a While.... Again!!!

Wow, I can't believe that my last post was April 13th--what a slacker I am!! Well, to give myself so credit we did move into a new house and many other hectic things. But no more excuses--- I am back now baby!!! And because it is hard to go back and remember everything that happened, I am just giong to post what pops in my mind.

First of all, here are some pictures of when Lund and Sarah took over my camera for a little while while I was in the other room. Sometimes, it is good to see life from their perspective.

P.S. to all of you who want to kill me for not posting where my brother is going on his mission in my last post----- He is going to Washington D.C. Spanish speaking. He will leave in the middle of June so he is running around getting everything done!!!!
