O.K., so it has been a long 2 1/2 weeks of the kids being on Spring Break, so I am going to try to catch up on all the fun/exhausting memories that were made.
I will start with an event that wasn't my favorite.... A HUGE shot!!!
Fun times huh? They are changing my chemo regiment and it requires me to have a shot like this once a month and a pill everyday. Wahooo!!!
The lifeguards tried to convince Sarah that is wasn't scary at all... But she wasn't too convinced. She told me that she would do it if I did...
Here is the lifeguard once again trying to convince Sarah.
Lund wasn't scared at all and took right to it.
And after only one time on the boogey board, he was ready for the surf board.
oh no..... falling is never fun!
Cassidy LOVED the boogey board and stayed on it for most of the afternoon.
Sarah tried again....
..........but was too nervous still...
Lund gets back up on the board...
......and experiences some more wipe-outs!
Cassidy decided to try the board too....
..............but she looks pretty nervous....
......and do you blame her?!!
.....she decided to stick with the boogey boards and looking cool!
............which she mastered famously!
....And Lund just kept on practicing and got the board down.
...........and had a few more epic wipe-outs!
.......but those awesome lifeguards didn't want to give up on Sarah....
...and so with the help of another lifeguard on a board too... she finally did it!!!!
.............and even Mom got up on the board!
.........and Sarah mastered some more stuff...
....like getting up on her knees on the board. Wow!!
And then later that night, we decided to watch the Super Moon outside and have a campfire in our backyard. Will insisted that he needed goggles to see the Super moon.
.....and that he desperately needed the goggles to protect him while cooking marshmallows over the fire!
A small view of the Super Moon!! (Put your goggles on if you need to)
Oh, and I forgot to tell you that right after the picture with me on the surfboard, I had a terrifically awesome wipe-out and my shoulder came out of socket. Wahoooooo!!! Luckily, with the help of my brother-in-law chiropractor, it is feeling much better now and I don't have to wear the sling anymore.
And then last Sunday we had a special visitor pop over.... Grandpa with some treats!!! We ate rice Krispy treats and watched our favorite new show together---"Secret Millionaire".
Please wait patiently for installment #2 of Spring Break 2001...

PS I really love your handsome Rice Crispie Treats delivery man. What a hunk!
I'm with Sarah. The boarding looks a little intimidating. Glad you guys all made it through spring break with little injury :)
I really miss Anonymous -- she is one of my favorite contributors.
Your stay at home cruise spring break was wonderful. What a marvelous family able to make good of what is given you. That blessing brings happiness and love always.
THanks for the update, Christa. Does this mean morgan is feeling better? Sorry about the shoulder, the fun just doesn't let up at your house huh!? Love you guys!
