Gladden your heart and enliven your soul!!

This week in Relief Society we had a lesson about the Creation and it was such a beautiful lesson! (Thank you Sister Pacheco) One of the things that stood out to me the most came from this scripture, D&C 59:18-19, which reads..."Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart; yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul."
I just LOVED thinking about the concept that a lot of things here on the earth are to "please the eye and to gladden the heart...." and to "strengthen the body and to enliven the soul."
What a loving Heavenly Father to create things that are simply meant to be beautiful to us. I know that after a dreary time, when I see Spring bring it's newness and flowers, my soul rejoices!!! I just thought I would share this epiphany with you...of course, you are all so smart that you probably knew all that....But my soul has definitely been enlivened....I mean enlightened!!!!

Last week when the kids and I planted some Spring flowers, I was amazed at the beauty a simple flower can bring!

And just look at the world around us..... what a beautiful creation! I took these pictures at Family Night tonight at Wild Horse Basin....just a mere minutes from my house!!!
