Guess who teased the cat?????

Tonight Will decided to bug our very calm cat, Rainbow, until this happened. We wonder how much he had to provoke her to get her to strike considering she usually puts up with so much.... Also Will learned how to turn on the stove today and pee on the floor, what an eventful day in the life of a two-year-old.....

Spring PIctures!

It is that time of the year again to get pictures taken. These are the kids at their "Spring Pictures" and I think they turned out pretty well. A few things of interest: Notice Lund's ripped knees in his pants, (classic Lund), and also look at Sarah's shoes, she is wearing her "glass slippers". She told me that she had to wear them to the "picture party". I told her that it wasn't a party, just pictures. She told me that "pictures are a party!!" Well said Sarah, well said!

Chocolate Chip Cookies Solve Everything!

Have you ever noticed how a great chocolate chip cookie can solve almost any problem life throws at you? Well, here is a picture taken after I made a batch of "Fix Everythings" the other night. I did have to do some extra exersize afterwards to make up for the spheres of goodness, but oh, it was worth it!!!!
Morgan just came up behind me and said "Did you take a picture of just a bunch of cookies?!"
"Why yes Morgan, yes I did! And I would do it again in a heartbeat, if there were any left to pose for the camera....."

Wicked Wicker

WARNING !!! THIS STORY ISN'T FOR THE WEAK OF HEART!!! o.k. with that warning out of the way, here is the story. Yesterday I went to Prescott and my friend so graciously offered to babysit Will and Sarah so I wouldn't have to take them as well. I speedily accepted her offer and was on my way. A couple hours into my trip she calls and asks if my son is accident prone. I said "of course, he just smashed his face on the coffee table last night!" She then replied that he was on a stool that lets the kids reach the sink in her bathroom and that it is made out of wicker, his loving sister, Sarah decided to push him off. There was a piece of wicker sticking up somewhere on the stool and his head found that piece of wicker and it went into his head. Now don't worry too much, we have these wonderful things called skulls and it is sure lucky that we do have them. He was crying and came to my friend and said "owww" and pointed to the wicker sticking out of his head. My poor friend had to get that lovely wicker out of his head (poor dear), and call my husband to pick him up and take him to get stitches. I felt pretty helpless as she told me all of this because I was an hour and a half away from home and really couldn't do any thing about it. But he survived and now he has a bandaged head for a couple of days to keep out infection. It took three nurses plus Morgan holding him down to clean out the wound and stitch it up. Today he is back to normal and fearless as ever! (I wonder if my friend will ever babysit for me again). He!He!

P.S. his head was actually shaved the day before when he moved around too much during his haircut!

Johnson's "Title of Liberty"

For Family Night this last Monday Morgan told the story about Moroni and how he "rent his garment and made the title of Liberty". And then Mr. Dramatic (thank his father for this one), tore off his shirt, much to the astonishment of the Relief Society President who was having Family Night with us. Luckily, he had planned ahead and had another shirt underneath his "rent clothing". I don't think he could have predicted what would happen next. (I think every mother could figure this one out)! The kids all tried to rip their own clothing off as well! After we got that all under control, we went to the table and wrote our own "Johnson Title of Liberty", and everyone got to write one reason for doing what is right on the Title of Liberty. It was fun and very impressionable and we took pictures right after the lesson.

Sewing Machine Envy!

All Cassidy wanted for her birthday this year was a sewing machine. On her invitations she suggested that instead of a present, her friends could give her a few dollars to save up for a sewing machine. She even priced sewing machines, drew sewing machines, etc. Well, all her friends gave her money for her birthday which made her "sew" happy and so she didn't even see it coming when she opened up her last present and it was a sewing machine from Morgan and I. She was estatic!!!!! And to make it even more grand, she recieved a coupon book from her surrogate grandparents here in the ward for 10 sewing lessons with Miss Karen who is a great seamstress. She is sooo excited and her first lesson is this Friday and she will be making an apron.

Birthdays, Birthdays Everywhere

This is the Birthday week at the Johnson household. First, Will turned two on February 7th and we went to the park and played and hung out for a few hours of sunshine. Then on Friday we had a wonderful party for Cassidy who turns 9 on February 11th. We played games outside and then went to the pool and swam and played. (indoor pool). This community just amazes me sometimes- I called the lifeguards two weeks ago to ask if we could have a bunch of kids at the pool for a pool party. They said "of course" and were soooo accomidating. They called in extra lifeguards and they got out pool toys and played with the kids. And as Cassidy was leaving after the party, they gave her a card with $10.00 in it and they told her that she is always such a good kid at the pool and obeys all the rules. I couldn't help but interject "it pays to be good!" And we didn't have to pay the lifeguards or anything, they did all this out of the goodness of their hearts. What an amazing community!!!

Here is a picture of Will at the park on this b-day

The Phone Call

Today was Will's birthday and he recieved a special call from his Grandparents on their mission in North Dakota. When they called, he was taking a nap so they had me hang up and they left a message for him on my phone. They told him how much they loved him and sang happy birthday to him complete with Grandpa making his popping sounds with his mouth. Well, the first time I played the message he just stared at the phone and smiled a chesire cat grin. Then he wanted to hear it again, and this time he looked at the phone more intently and smiled and laughed. By the third go round, he was talking back to his grandparents on the other line while he listened to the message, laughing and telling them something in his nonsense language that he uses. We had it on "Speaker phone" the whole time and his big sister Sarah figured out that you push "4" to repeat the message, so on and on it went. It was so fun and this picture is him trying to converse to his grandparents through the phone. Such a great memory that I will always treasure!

Another funny moment came when Sarah, who had already heard the message a couple times through said "I love the part where they pop their heads together and make that sound!!!" I had a great belly laugh after that comment picturing Lund and Karen popping their heads together at the end of each line of "Happy Birthday"!

Will turns 2!

I thought that I would do a little tribute for Will, who will turn two on Thursday and I still can't believe that two years have already passed. He was born on February 7, 2006 in Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. Will had to spend a week in the hospital after he was born so I have many fond memories of holding him in my hospital room watching the Olypics with him in my arms. I will never forget that!!

He is such an active boy and he LOVES his mommy!!! He is my little Momma's Boy!! I hope these pictures will be great for all!!! We love you Will!!

I guess that I didn't eat enough almonds!!

o.k. here is a cute story for you... Today we were driving in the truck coming back from Stake Conference in Prescott, Arizona (1 1/2 hours away from our house). Anyway, we had some almonds that we were all eating as we drove home and Morgan and I started talking to the kids about how almonds helps your brain to get smarter and stuff. Well, we got home and later this evening, Cassidy and Lund came running in to tell on their sister. "Mom, Sarah said a bad word. She told us to shut-up!" Well, this is a banned word from our house because I think it is rude so I talked to Sarah and I said that she needed to choose nicer words and why did she use that word?" She proclaimed, " I just had to, I couldn't help it! I didn't eat enough of those things in the car and my brain just isn't smart enough!!"
